Today we had the opportunity to share data strategies with a classmate. One great data point I saw was the use of exit tickets. My main source of data was summative, such as the Form test my 3rd graders recently took. However, my classmate has been collecting these exit tickets to measure the students' understanding. I have not seen exit tickets used in this manner this semester. However, since my wondering if math-based, I plan to incorporate this strategy into my internship classroom. So far, my data has shown me which students have strengths in mathematics, and which students still have mathematical obstacles to overcome. However, I realized incorporating more formative assessments would help me further develop my wondering.
